New Year, New Adventures

Wow what a year! 2010 was filled with thrills, spills and chills! The best thing about 2010- we stepped out on faith and formed Rise and Walk! In John 5:8 Jesus tells the invalid to "Rise, pick up your mat and walk." The man was healed. He just had to believe, act on that belief(faith) and obey. So in this new year, Rise and Walk will continue to believe, have faith and obey. It would be so easy to be fearful of the pitfalls that come with starting a new company, especially a theater company. However we fully believe that we were not created with a "spirit of fear". So 2011 here we come. We're ready to take on whatever comes our way. 2011 is already off to a great start. Andre N. Jones(Founder and playwright of Verbalized Ink) is premiering his new work "A Psalm of David" at the Art, Life, Action: A Theatrical Celebration festival on 1/22 at 3pm and 1/23 at 6pm at the Shubin Theater. There are so many things that are on the horizon. We're ready to get on the roller coaster again. How about you?
