Heading South

As each day comes to a close the excitement builds for the DC Black Theatre Festival. We are so honored to be a part of this groundbreaking event. This year's festival, which is referred to as 2nd Act( as this is it's second year), will be filled with workshops, plays(make sure you check out Verbalized Ink), theatrical competitions and specials guests such as Doug E. Doug, Joe Clair, D'Atra Hicks and Rain Pryor. This is an event that you don't want to miss. You can access the website at http://www.dcblacktheatrefestival.com/. The DC Black Theatre Festival runs from June 12-19th.
Rise and Walk is so grateful to be able to provide entertaining and inspirational productions. Our mission is to produce original as well as American classic and contemporary theatrical works that are inspirational and uplifting to the community at- large. We will also utilize these works to teach and inspire future artistry. We ask that you to continue to go along for the ride. We're sure that you will be entertained, inspired and uplifted.
So in the infamous words of Don Cornelius- "Peace, Love and Soul".
